Sickness !!!!

Ahhhhh!! The frustration of the Oregon winter has got me in it's grips. Honestly before this winter my children have always been really healthy, but.....now we are in the grips of disease! We have already been through both girls having the stomach flu, tonsilitis, and now some strange new virus has attacked! My poor babies:( I just wish this would all go away and return my smiling beautiful babies. Ones with no fevers, no coughs, no runny noses and most of all NO more vomiting!!! Please come Mr. sun and drive the gray skies away!! Hopefully tomorrow will bring me good news as we go to the doctor for the third time in a week. (No I'm not paranoid enough to usually take them to the dr. that often but, Gracie has been on the verge of hospitilization and is going to be checked yet again)

I'm so proud

Sometimes when you least expect it your children can really surprise and delight you. Yesterday at Gabriella's dance class, her and a few friends were playing a game. She noticed a little girl that was standing to the side and she told everyone to stop because the other little girl looked like she really wanted to play too. She went over to her took her little hand and invited her to join in. I was so excited and proud at that moment of my daughter's compassion. I really hope that she retains these qualities as she grows and continues through life. Maybe I'm not screwing up too bad:)

A fun weekend in Gold Beach

Jed's grandparents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, so we decided to travel to Gold Beach with his parents to attend the festivities. We had a great time visiting with all of the family and they all thought the girl's were so precious. Thank God they were both on their best behavior! We stopped on the way down there at Prehistoric Gardens, a dinosaur statue park that Jed's great-grandfather helped create in the 50's . Gabby loved looking at all the life size dinosaurs, she hasn't put down the brochure since we left. On our way home we stopped at the Bandon Wild Game Park. It was absolutely pouring....but we had promised to take her. So we just got soaked to the bone. It was neat though they had a lot of cool animals and the let you hold and feed some of the babies. Since we were literally the only guests in the park, they let us hold them for quite awhile. Guess everyone else had the sense to stay indoors:) However we got to feet a black spotted baby leopard, a lynx, and some baby skunks. They were so cute....but the cuteset part was seeing the smiles on my girls' faces...it was totally worth being drowned.
