Rough housing can be dangerous!!

So... I thought that I would be cute and try to sneek up on my husband and snap him with a towel last night. I am not very good at it so it didn't quite turn out as shocking and surprising as I had hoped (I guess I need to practice). Instead I was the one shocked and dismayed, He turned around on a dime and charged. Trying to get away I ran into the bathroom, turned around and he was already on me. Seeing him bearing down on me was a little frightening, he's a big guy. Anyway I tripped and we both went down into the tub taking the whole shower curtain and rod with us, rings shattered and flew everywhere. We couldn't stop laughing for at least 20 mins...needless to say now I have to go buy a new shower curatin and rings. Sometimes being silly can cost you money:)

Spring is Here!

Wow... spring is finally beginning to show it's head here in Oregon! All I can say is Thank God! I believe if any more color gets drained from my skin they will be asking me to participate in the albino documentery. We have all been keeping very busy and enjoyning the sun. Last week I went with a friend and we went hunting for glass floats on the beach. It is a big thing in Lincoln city that they do every year from about Sept through May, The glass factories and artists blow beautiful glass floats and hide them periodically on the beach for people to find. I have always wanted to go, but have yet to find someone to accompany me. That is until now....and on my first try I found one!!! I was so excited, it is a beautiful rose color.

Hopefully my luck will continue and one day I'll find another one. It was really fun just looking too though.

Happy Mother's Day!

I just wanted to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all of my friends and family who are mothers today. Being a mother is such a difficult job, perhaps the most difficult you will ever have to do and no one gives mothers enough credit. What other job is it alright to get screamed at, make meals, clean, do laundry, shuttle people at all times of the day or night? All the while running the risk of getting hit by some form of bodily fluid and to top it all off with no pay!!! However I wouldn't doubt that almost all mothers wouldn't change it for the world. Because underneath all the hard work is a lot of joy. Watching these little beings that you gave birth to or raise become the people that they were meant to be with your guidance is amazing! Knowing that when they remeber someone's hurt feelings or try to help someone when they fall, give to those who don't have or just say thank you, a mother can feel proud that some of the lessons they try so hard to teach have been heard. So to all those fabulous mothers out there today....know that you are loved and above all appreciated, even if it doesn't always feel that way. No one knows how hard mothers work more than other mothers!! Today is your day....Enjoy!
